A Fall Arrest System, commonly referred to as a safety harness and lanyard system, is a type of Personal Fall Protection Equipment (PFPE). It is not a single strap but an integrated system designed to safely stop a person who is falling from a height. Its primary purpose is to arrest the fall and distribute the immense forces generated during the arrest across the strong parts of the body—thighs, pelvis, chest, and shoulders—to minimize injury.

Key Components

1. Full-Body Harness: Comprises shoulder straps, leg straps, a waist belt, padding, and D-rings. It is engineered to distribute impact forces.

2. Lanyard / Energy Absorber: A flexible line connecting the harness to an anchor point. Crucial types include:

   • Shock-absorbing Lanyard: Contains a packed energy absorber that deploys (e.g., by tearing stitches) to decelerate the fall gradually, dramatically reducing the force on the body.

   • Positioning Lanyard: Used to hold the worker in place but is not designed for fall arrest.

3. Anchor Point: A secure, certified fixed point (typically rated for at least 5,000 lbs) to which the system is attached.

4. Connectors: Such as carabiners or self-locking snap hooks, used to link components together.

How It Works

In the event of a fall, the system engages. The lanyard becomes taut, and the D-ring on the harness becomes the primary load point. If a shock-absorbing lanyard is used, its internal mechanism deploys to elongate the stopping distance. This controlled deceleration absorbs kinetic energy, reducing the arresting force to a survivable and less injurious level, preventing critical internal injuries and spinal damage.

A1: Generally, we pack our goods in neutral cartons. If you have legally registered patent, we can pack the goods in your branded boxes after getting your authorization letters.

Q2: What is your terms of payment?
A2: T/T 30% as deposit, and 70% before delivery. We'll show you the photos of the products and packages before you pay the balance.

Q3: What is your terms of delivery?
A3: EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF, DDU.

Q4: How about your delivery time?
A4: Generally, it will take 5 to 30 days after receiving your advance payment. The specific delivery time depends on the items and the quantity of your order.
